Come and See
As a Catholic school we have two R.E lessons a week. Our R.E focus is Come and See and the topics for the Autumn Term are; Beginnings and Belonging.
New Beginnings
For our new beginnings topic, we will be focusing on the Creation story from the Bible and discussing what it is like to have a new beginning. We will focus on families and family life. We will think about the differences in families in our community and throughout the world and remember that families are the first place for our growth and development.
Belonging
Our belonging topic will give the children the opportunity to explore their lives and discuss the experiences they have had that may differ from children all around the world.
We will recognise the importance of feeling welcome, of feeling comfortable with new situations and belonging in new groups. The children will remember that we belong in families, in our school community and in the wider community of St Helens.
