Home Learning Week 12

Hello Year 2,

I hope you have all had a fantastic weekend! I have another amazing badge to share with you today so I am very pleased with all your reading!

The next badge we can earn is 250 books read and I am sure we can reach that by the end of the week! When you read you earn points to move up levels so lets see how many of you can read for at least 10 minutes a day.

Below are all the tasks for this week! Have a great week everyone!

Missing you all lots,

Miss Wagner

This week’s activities are:

Watch RWI speed sound sessions - If your child has watched all of the sounds and now knows them confidently, please move onto the next set of speed sounds.

Come and See (RE)

TOPIC Reconciliation

Think about the learning we have done over the last few weeks and write your ideas down on a piece of paper.

Is there anything you wonder about;

- the importance for you and others to keep rules

- why rules are necessary in life

- why it is sometimes hard to say sorry

- why it is sometimes hard to forgive others

- the good feelings we get when we make up with our friends or family.

Write down atleast ONE thing you remember for each of these questions.

- What did Jesus tell Peter about forgiving others?

- What did Paul say to the colossians about being saints?

- What is a sin?

- What is the difference between doing something accidentally and on purpose?

- Why is it important or helpful to examine your conscience every day?

- Why is it good to write a sorry prayer?

- What happens in the Sacrament of Reconciliation?

- What is the sign of peace?

and finally - Which rule will you try to keep today?

After you have answered each question you can have a quiet time for reflection and prayer.

You might want to make a friendship card or bracelet for someone you don't normally play with.

You could also make a card or another symbol to put on your pillow to remind you when you go to bed to think about your day and how you have lived by the rule of love. What are you glad or sorry about?

Another great activity could be to make an 'I love you' card for your parents/carers or other family members.
