Week Beginning 8th February

Hello Year 1 and welcome to another week of our home learning.

This is our final week before half term and the school is closed on Friday so you only have to complete work Monday - Thursday.

Thank you so much for your attendance on the live lessons and for keeping going with your online learning as I know it has been hard for all of you not being in school. Please keep an eye out this week for a phone call from me to see how you are all doing.

Remember our live lessons are on Mondays and Thursdays at 9.30am and our Time to Chat is at 2pm on Wednesday. Mrs Brookes will also be doing a collective worship and achievement assembly this week so keep an eye out for the invites in your email or on your calendars.

Remember to log in to Bug Club and education city and post at least one piece of work to the blog this week. If there are any problems with this please notify us through the school office and we can resolve any issues.

Miss Rice has set a reading challenge for over the half term so please remember to take a photograph of you reading in as many unusual places as you can find to be in with the chance of winning a prize. All photographs should be posted on the blog and we will be picking winners after the half term holiday.

Have a great week year 1 and have a very happy and safe half term!

Mr Mackin has recorded this great home workout for you all to complete at home.

During half term people from China will be celebrating their new year and we will also celebrate Shrove Tuesday (Pancake day) and Ash Wednesday. This is the beginning of Lent for Christians so it is a very special time which lasts for 40 days and 40 nights. I have added some activities I think you may like to complete or you can have fun researching them yourself while you are off school.
