Year 3 2017-18


Welcome to the Year 3 Class Page!


Class Teacher - Mrs McShane

Throughout the year we will be adding photographs, examples of work and details of the things we have been learning about in class.  Please check back regularly to see what your child has been doing and to find out the latest class news.





Homework will now include one piece of Maths and one of Literacy each week as well as spellings, reading and timestables. Children should spend 20minutes each night on their homework.


Words of the week

(Children should practice the highlighted words in their book)

New spellings are sent home on a Monday and then children are tested on a Friday





Multiplication Tables


We are continuing to practice our 2, 3, 5 and 10 multiplication tables.

We are starting to learn 4, 6 and 8 multiplication tables.


This week we have been learning times table songs with the help of Teacher/Youtuber Mr. DeMaio.

Smoothie tasting!

A letter has now gone home to check for any allergies before we begin our DT research next week.  Please return the slip as soon as possible so your child is able to take part.



We are excited to announce that Year 3 will be going on residential in Spring.  Please return slips and £20 deposit by 13th October to indicate if you would like to go.
