Reception

Welcome to Reception Class

2025/26

Dear Parents/Carers and Children,

We wanted to send out a huge congratulations to you all for a wonderful start to school life.  The children have settled in so well and always arrive and leave with huge smiles on their faces.  They have enjoyed making new friends and trying new activities, showing enthusiasm and energy.wink We will regularly add photographs of our time in school so you can see a little of what we have been learning, as we know from experience you will get a variety of 'I don't know', 'I've forgot', 'nothing' or 'just played all day'.

We look forward to getting to know you all this year and developing our partnership to provide the best education for your child.

Take care

WORK AND PLAY IN RECEPTION

Year 6 Buddies

Each year we pair up a Year 6 child with a Reception child and they become buddies for the year. Our buddies love spending time together, chatting, playing, working and building strong bonds.  Take a look at our photos showing what a fun time we have together.

BAKING GINGERBREAD MEN

We have been learning the story of the Gingerbread man, we have worked so hard to remember all of our new vocabulary.  These are the words we have been focusing on: cunning, ravenous, pursue, mocking and accelerate.  We have made wanted posters to find the pesky biscuit and then enjoyed baking our own.  They were delicious!
