Art

We used textured objects to print in our sketchbooks - creating a background.

Our printing blocks are works of art themselves!

Earth Day 2023

As part of our celebration of Earth Day, we got very close to the Earth by weeding our garden. We used a range of tools and composted the weeds. Other classes with plant new seeds/bulbs now we have cleared the soil.

The Vikings are coming!

We have been learning about Vikings with Miss Rampling. We created portraits of some formidable Vikings using charcoal. The results are spectacular. Imagine being a monk on Lindisfarne and seeing a group of raiders like this running up the beach towards you...

Shakespeare Week

We designed costumes for the main characters in the play, The Tempest.

We added notes and some quotes from the play.

We used Shakespeare's own words to insult each other! Some were funny, others quite shocking!

Library Visit

We visited Peter Street Library to explore the services on offer. We found out how to join St Helens Libraries and how easy it is to access thousands of wonderful books - all for free!

Science Week

We investigated bubbles.

Did changing the shape of the dipper we used make a difference?

Did we make different shaped bubbles?

Improving our environment.

Tracey, from St Helens Chamber, spent the morning working with us to help us take action to prevent global warming. We learned a lot about greenhouse gases and fossil fuels. The most important message was that we have to power to take action and improve the environment.
